Biography

Prof. Yamini D. Shah is presently heading the department of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology in L.M.College of Pharmacy (L.M.C.P), Ahmedabad, India. She has been actively engaged in teaching undergraduate and post graduate pharmacy students. Her present research interests include pharmaceutical excipients, polymers, solid lipid nano particles, gels, micro emulsion, solid oral dosage form of antidiabetic drug and controlled release dosage form of antibiotic and antiobesity agents. She has published number of research and review articles in reputed national and international journals. She has also participated in workshops, continuing education programs as a resource person and an organizing member in national and international conferences organized by L.M.C.P. She has launched two e-books on “Basic Microbiology practicals for pharmaceutical students” and “Handbook on laboratory techniques in pharmaceutical microbiology”. She has also taken part in poster presentation in both national and international conferences on various subjects of pharmaceutical technology. She has filed three Indian patents.
